Julie attended Cumberland School of Law on a full scholarship, where she earned the degree of Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 1994. Julie attended Troy State University also on a full scholarship and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in Physics and History in 1991.

While at Cumberland School of Law, Julie served as a member of the Cumberland Law Review and as a Cordell Hull Teaching Fellow. Upon graduation from law school, she was inducted into the membership of Curia Honoris, in recognition of her academic achievement.

After being admitted to the Florida Bar in 1994, Julie returned to her hometown of Panama City and joined the firm of Charles Isler in general practice where she ultimately rose to the role of Managing Partner until 2019 when Chuck retired. Julie primarily practices in the areas of Estate Planning, Wills and Probate, Guardianship, Real Property Litigation and Transactions, Business and Corporate Law, Construction Law, Trade Secret Litigation, Non-compete Agreements, and General Civil Litigation.

Julie is a member of the Florida Bar, Bay County Bar Association, and was invited to serve as an Associate in the St. Andrew Bay Inns of Court for the 1995-1996 and 1996-1997 terms. Julie was made a Barrister in the St. Andrew Bay Inns of Court in 2001. Julie was appointed to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit in 2000 by Governor Jeb Bush and served as a commissioner until July 2006. Julie was voted Reader’s Choice Best of Bay for 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 in the Panama City News Herald’s annual contest.

After Hurricane Michael devastated our area in October 2018, Julie was a member of the Executive Board of Michael’s Angels, an advocacy group that was formed by a group of local women to fight for federal and state relief funds for our catastrophically impacted region.

Michael’s Angels organized the Rally in Tally which was instrumental in obtaining better relief for our area, particularly with respect to the funding of our schools which was in serious jeopardy.

Julie has testified as an Expert Witness on Homestead Law and Real Estate Closing Procedures.

Julie has written materials and served as a lecturer for continuing legal education courses related to probate administration, trusts, and estate planning.

Julie is admitted to practice law before both State and Federal court (Northern District Florida, United States District Court) and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Julie is a proud graduate of Cedar Grove Elementary, Patterson Sixth Grade Center, Mowat Junior High, and Mosley High School and has been a member of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church since 1972.
